Course content

Practical training and discussion of the statistical techniques required for the design, implementation and analysis of vaccine clinical trials, including power calculations, randomisation and blinding, audit trail, and data reporting.

Overview

This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the statistical methods essential for designing and analyzing vaccine clinical trials. Participants will explore key topics such as hypothesis testing, sample size calculation, and the interpretation of trial data, all within the context of vaccine development. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and practical exercises, the course equips learners with the skills needed to apply statistical concepts to real-world vaccine trials, ensuring robust and reliable outcomes in the evaluation of vaccine efficacy and safety.

Scholarships

We are pleased to offer free registration and travel funding to selected researchers from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). These registration and travel grants for LMIC applicants are generously sponsored by the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI).
